Fishing License Requirement

In accordance with Hawaiʻi state law, all non-resident anglers age 15 and older are required to purchase a Nonresident Recreational Marine Fishing License (NRMFL) prior to the trip.

Ideal for families, beginners, or groups seeking a fast-paced taste of Kauaʻi deep sea fishing. Our fast vessel gets you out to deep water quickly so you maximize your time looking for active bird piles, current lines, and surface feeding action.

6-Hour Charter (Three-Quarter Day)

Our most popular option for dedicated anglers. Gives our captain and crew extended time to track offshore bird piles, work deeper current rips, and target larger pelagics further off the coast.

8-Hour Charter (Full Day Offshore)

The ultimate big game sportfishing expedition. Designed for anglers chasing trophy marlin, giant ahi, or pelagic Grand Slams. Allows maximum flexibility to scout distant bird activity, explore deep offshore ledges, and troll far-reaching FADs (Fish Aggregating Devices).

• Do non-residents need a fishing license?

  • Yes. Non-residents age 15 and older must purchase a Hawaiʻi Nonresident Recreational Marine Fishing License online at fishing.hawaii.gov before the charter. Licenses are available for 1-day ($20), 7-day ($40), or annual ($70) durations.

• Do you provide coolers and ice on the boat?

  • Yes! We provide onboard coolers stocked with plenty of ice to keep all included food, drinks, and any adult beverages you bring ice-cold throughout your charter.

• Can you accommodate dietary restrictions for food on board?

  • Yes! We provide sandwiches, fresh fruit, potato chips, tortilla chips with dip, cookies, and string cheese. If you or anyone in your group has dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know in advance when booking so we can accommodate your needs.

• Are fish guaranteed on every trip?

  • While we put you in the absolute best position to hook up by tracking bird piles and using top-grade tackle, we cannot guarantee fish. Ocean sportfishing involves wild animals in their natural environment, and some days the fish are more active than others. What we do guarantee is 100% effort from our crew, expert captaining, and a first-class experience on the water!

• How do you find the fish offshore?

  • In Hawaiian waters, seabirds are nature’s ultimate sonar! Our captain and crew constantly scan the horizon for active “bird piles”—flocks of seabirds diving on baitfish pushed to the surface by predatory tuna, mahi, and marlin underneath. Tracking these bird piles is one of the most effective techniques for locating fast-moving action.

• How many people can come on the boat?

  • Our Coast Guard certification limits us to a strict maximum of 6 passengers per charter. Because this is a 100% private charter, your group will have the boat, crew, and all fishing lines strictly to yourselves!

• Why launch from the west side instead of the east side?

  • Being on Kauaʻi’s leeward west side is one of our biggest perks! The island blocks the prevailing trade winds, giving us noticeably calmer water and smoother conditions than east side harbors. Plus, our fast boat gets you out into deep water quickly.

• What happens to the fish we catch?

  • Unlike many charter operations that keep or sell the catch, all fish caught on your tour belong to you! Our crew will clean, skin, and fillet your fish upon returning to the harbor so it is ready for cooking or sushi.

• Are kids allowed on board?

  • Absolutely! Private charters are fantastic for families. Kids of all ages are welcome on board, and our crew loves helping young anglers reel in their very first ocean catch.

• Is there shade and a restroom on the vessel?

  • Yes! Our boat features an enclosed forward cabin providing comfortable shade from the sun, along with a clean, fully functional onboard restroom (head).

• What if ocean conditions are rough?

  • While our location on Kauaʻi’s leeward side offers much calmer waters than other parts of the island, safety remains our top priority. If we determine conditions are unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule your charter or issue a full refund.
